"For a Center in Training he is doing very well I had issues hearing him and he helped me fixed it. Cause I ended up off my approach course he took me in manually and brought me back down I really appreciate him."

"Very compentent and friendly controller. Requested a SRA 18 CYWG. The controller told me that he never did this approach before. His vecoring was very precise and professional. On top of that the whole ACT (CTR and DEP) was very friendly and well trained - they made possible what ever I requested. Love to come back! :)"

Controller: James White

"Just was great! Flew through the airspace on a flight from YYC to YYZ and had him up the whole time. Winnipeg may not be the busiest airspace on VATSIM but it's very nice to fly through."

Controller: Justin

Controller: Joshua Ettinger

"I was performing my first flight ever on a network and when almost at T/D, the controller went online. At first, I was scared and nervous but Justin was very clear with the messages and safely guided me to the ground. Huge thanks to him and all the best to people of Winnipeg FIR!"

Controller: Justin

"Very good controller, managed to handle all that traffic! Very impressive."

Controller: Luke Wightman

"I was very pleased that Winnipeg was picked as an arrival airport for CTP. I know the CZWG staff and controllers have been working very had with the FIR and I hope that their efforts will be rewarded. Unfortunately it is not the most travelled area in the world and I'm sure that does not help matters. I know some addon scenery will be worked on soon so hopefully that will help and encourage pilots to fly there. Your briefing was excellent as well but I was most impressed that you even went as far as arranging to have add-on scenery available for FSX/P3D pilots! What a great example of going above and beyond! Thank you and keep up the great work!"

Controller: Tavis Harrison

"Great attitude! Keep the good work up."

Controller: Dylan

"I have completed a few flights on the network and Justin was very friendly and patient with everyone flying through the Winnipeg sector. 10/10 will recommend and fly through the sector again."

Controller: Justin

"Absolutely one of the most professional controllers, all while being relaxed and fun to fly with. Wasn't monotoned or aggressive, but rather kind, caring, and one helluva controller. Props! :)"

Controller: 1431902

"Thanks for being on early in the morning for our Deltapalooza event, and well done handling the traffic!"

Controller: 1431902

"What a controller, very helpful and facilitating to help me test a new CPDLC client, helped us find a bug and was very happy for CPDLC to be used very chirpy and happy. Great job man. appreciate it"

Controller: Ryan Miltenberger

"Kathryn was very accommodating and came online with minimal traffic just in time for arrival. Kathryn was also hospitable for one of my few times out of VATUSA airspace and we'll certainly try to go out of our way to CYWG in the future!"

Controller: Kathryn

"Excellent work, provided instructions and advisories clearly allowing for a quick departure. It was my first time flying out of Winnipeg and this controller made it as easy as it could be."

Controller: Kathryn

"VATSIM has a tendency to simplify many real world procedures for the simple fact that most on the network have little or no real world experience to bank on. However, every now and then a facility introduces a less-familiar procedure which can greatly improve the enjoyment of an event. Winnipeg FIR, and Zachary in particular, did so tonight running Winnipeg Pad Control during the FNO. When I heard discussion on the ground frequency of de-ice procedures in effect, I figured I'd give it a go and see what was happening. Much to my surprise, all communications, procedures and operations were being conducted. I de-iced in YYZ real-world a few days ago, and there was no difference between those communications and those tonight. Zachary spoke like a seasoned veteran with experience de-icing aircraft and even took time to explain procedures and different fluids to newer pilots who were unfamiliar. This realistic and fun learning experience, with a positive attitude, made my night, and certainly makes me want to return to YWG again."

Controller: 1431902

"Very nice and easy with pilots!"

Controller: Blake

"Very Professional and patient."

Controller: Kien Houk

Controller: Tavis Harrison

"I flew into YWG from MSP as callsign QFA21 Super. Adam was a great controller and his communication was awesome. Usually controllers are snobs when it comes to Pilots using the TEXT ONLY method of communication, however Adam was great with communication and gave me detailed directions for approach and departure out of YWG. Jas"

Controller: Adam Brookman

"One of the friendliest controllers on Vatsim!"

Controller: Katherine Rose

"The controller was incredibly kind, friendly. She's so kind everyone instantly feels like the controller's friend. She is irreplaceable. Thank you!"

Controller: Katherine Rose

"Very friendly, handled aircraft effectively and efficiently. Was very patient with all aircraft on frequency."

Controller: Adam Brookman

"Long time in the simulator but third flight on Vatsim(TBM IFR from CYBR to CYWG). Didn't get the name of the controllers but I believe Ty was one of them. Made a few errors but both gentlemen handled it patiently and professionally. I will be back with a better skill set as a result. Thanks for making it fun and challenging."

Controller: Ty Treverton

"Great job by Ty controlling CYQT_TWR during VFR Views event around 1800Z August 18th 2024. My flight was N3006 departing out of CYQT. Gave my DC3 and a departing vision jet our VFR clearances and taxi to the active runway 07. Coordinated with the vision jet as they departed to allow them to fly by the lake superior coastline while remaining inside tower's airspace. Meanwhile Ty kindly took up my request for 1 lap in the pattern for a quick touch and go before I departed for my destination and offered radar's frequency for flight following. Thanks to Ty we all had great fun flying around the area's beautiful lakes & rocks scenery."
