In addition to the Winnipeg FIR's VFR Views event, we are excited to annouce a screenshot contest!

Submit your best screenshot taken during the VFR Views event! The winning screenshot will recieve a place on the Winnipeg FIR homepage, all the bragging rights, and a very special prize!

The submission period is from the beggining of the VFR Views event, to 24 hours after the end.

Contest Rules.

  1. The contest is open to individuals who participated in the VFR Views event from the Winnipeg FIR (August 18th 2024 1800Z - 2100Z) and are in good standing with the Winnipeg FIR, VATCAN, and VATSIM.

  2. Each contestant will be granted one submission.

  3. The submitted photo must meet the following criteria:

    1. The submission must be a screenshot taken within a flight simulator.

    2. Photo editing is limited to light retouching including colour correction, and cropping. Any generative features, or addition of more information to the photo is strictly prohibited.

    3. The submitted photo must have been captured during the VFR Views event time frame (August 18th 2024 1800Z - 2100Z) with an active connection to the VATSIM network.

  4. The submission period will be August 18th 2024 from 1800Z until August August 19th 2024 at 2100Z.

  5. Winners will be notified by direct message on Discord within 48 hours of the end of the submission period.

  6. The Winnipeg FIR staff reserves the right to disqualify any submission which is deemed by the Winnipeg FIR staff to not be in compliance with the regulations stated above.
