Thunder Bay and Hamilton have stocked up on packages and are calling all cargo pilots to move them back and forth! Starting on February 12th at 1900z, depart either CYQT or CYHM and bring us those packages for a chance to win prizes! The event is open to any VATSIM pilot/controller flying in any aircraft allowed on the network with an IATA/ICAO cargo callsign. With these callsigns, you will be entered into a draw to win one of two simulator sceneries from Xplane or Prepar3d! Additionally, for their hard work, one controller will also win a scenery. Please reference the rules below for more information.
Contest Rules & Regulations:
Prizes consist of 2 simulator sceneries, one for Prepar3d, and one for X-Plane. 1 scenery will be awarded to eligible pilots and the other will be awarded to an eligible controller.
- Every pilot who flies an IATA/ICAO cargo callsign to/from CYQT and CYHM will be entered into a master list (Callsign, Name, VATSIM ID) that will be used to determine the two winners.
- Every controller who controls during the event in the CZWG/CZYZ FIRs will be entered into a separate list for the controller prize.
- Eligible flights must be completed (departure and arrival) within the scheduled event start and end times.
- Winners will be determined by entering all eligible VATSIM IDs into an online random number generator to select the winners.
- Winner determination will be done by the CZYZ and CZWG Event Coordinators and will be streamed in the VATCAN discord server after the event is complete.
- VATSIM, VATCAN, CZYZ FIR and CZWG FIR staff are not eligible to win a prize (this does not include FIR instructors/mentors that do not hold a staff position).
- Qualification of eligible entries will be at the final discretion of CZYZ and CZWG Event Coordinators.
- In the event that a winner does not respond to claim their prize within 48h of being contacted, a new winner will be drawn from the remainder of the list.
- This contest is being run under Canadian jurisdiction. No purchase is necessary for entry. Winners must answer a mathematical skill-testing question in order to claim their prize. Residents of Quebec are not eligible.
By entering the contest, entrants agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless VATSIM, its affiliated partners/sub-divisions, their advertising and promotional agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, employees, representatives, successors and assigns from and against any injuries, losses damages, claims, actions, or any liability of any kind resulting from your participation in the contest.
